Getting married changed my week, not who mattered.
There were new routines and more people to see. I didn't want my old relationships to survive only on special occasions.

I was happy with my new life. I still missed parts of my old one.
The wedding was followed by a lot of ordinary adjustments: sharing a home, visiting family, figuring out whose plans were on which weekend. I was happy with my new life. I still missed parts of my old one, especially the conversations that used to happen without anyone organising them.
I would talk to my parents about a visit, but not always about their day. A friend and I kept exchanging we must meet messages. None of it felt urgent, so it kept being the thing that moved when a weekend filled up.
My partner and I talked about keeping some time for our own friends and families. That agreement mattered before any reminder could. In Relationshipss, I chose a weekly rhythm for my parents and a monthly one for two friends. I didn't try to give every relationship the same place on a timetable.
When a friend appeared in Today, I sent a message directly rather than waiting until we could arrange a group evening. When I spoke to my parents, I recorded the catch-up. On a busy week, I could choose Later or reconsider the rhythm instead of treating the original setting as a promise I had made to everyone.
I'm still working out the balance. A reminder can't decide whose plans take priority, and I don't want it to. What I wanted was a way to notice the relationships I had chosen to keep making room for. Getting married added to my life; I wanted those people to have a place in it too.
Where Relationshipss fits
Keep separate contact rhythms for chosen relatives and friends, then record actual catch-ups so reminders reflect them.
The app cannot allocate a couple's time, settle competing family expectations or establish boundaries. The frequencies in this story are personal examples, not recommendations.
